EDUCATION & RESOURCES

For years I’ve been getting asked about when I’ll start offering things like mentoring sessions, workshops, tutorials and the works. And I’m so excited to finally start offering educational services for any budding photographers that want to elevate their craft, whether you’re aspiring to make a killing shooting weddings or if your heart is in lifestyle, travel, or adventure photography!

Photo Gallery Editing (Single Gallery)
$725.00

This is a new offering that will let you tag me in to edit entire galleries for you, & while it’s primarily aimed at helping wedding photographers clear their queues, I can also offer editing in the lifestyle & commercial areas of work as well. Here’s what’s in it for you:

You go into 2025 with a clean slate & can focus more on being present with your clients & peers.

You save hours of time on editing that you could instead spend:

  • pursuing more work

  • giving your eyes & mind a much needed break

  • kicking it with loved ones

  • taking up baking

  • watching through all of Ted Lasso for the fourth time (no one is judging you, except Coach Beard)

I will treat each gallery like it’s my own & handle it with the standard of quality I expect from myself. And yes, you can use anything from the gallery I’ll deliver to promote & secure future work for yourself.

You’ll have each gallery you submit edited & delivered within one week.

Should you request it, I will happily hop on a 20 minute complimentary call to assess your creative process & help you optimize it for the years going forward.

PLEASE READ:

To maximize the satisfaction of you & your client, & keep expectations aligned, you are expected to cull before uploading your RAW images for me to edit. If you’d like for me to cull for you, I will offer to do that at an additional $100 per gallery. If you elect to outsource culling to me, you must understand that you are relinquishing control of what images make it past my eye. I am not a quantity-based artist and encourage you to also approach your deliveries with a quality over quantity angle. I will pick the best images according to my taste & what I feel will best tell the story of your gallery.

This offering is capped at 350 edited images (trust me, most of you are people-pleasing, anxious over-shooters but that’s another day’s problem). Each additional 50 images are charged at $50 per set. I’ll offer grace zones wherever I can.

I will be editing each gallery by my standards & judgement. This being said, I can only take an image as far as how well the image is shot to begin with & I ask that you understand that you can’t necessarily out-edit a bad raw image. While I do not offer re-dos of any sort, I will reiterate that I treat every gallery like my own & will pull out the best results that I can for you.

Portfolio Review - Conceptual Mentoring
$129.00

As an artist, your portfolio acts as your resume and shows the world exactly what you’re capable of. The emotions you elicit or impression you give can be the most important determining factor for whether a client decides to reach out to you and, ultimately, hire you. So whether you’re just starting out, looking to level up where you are, or looking to branch into a new genre of photography, this component of your game has to be rock-solid in order for you to attract the right clients and get the work that you want.

In this one-hour session, we do a deep-dive into your portfolio and identify where there may be weak points, identify breaks in fundamentals, and ultimately get you on a path to putting together a body of work that reaches the right audience and you are proud of. Before our session even begins, you have the option to submit any body of work you’d like for me to review ahead of time.

During my years of teaching and mentoring across multiple disciplines, I’ve found that a hybrid approach to imparting knowledge and feedback has been the most effective, for artists especially. In our session, I will drill down on certain fundamentals that everyone needs to have locked down, but also tailor it towards your specific goals and stylistic vision as an artist and creator.

Topics we may cover but are not limited to:

-your artistic philosophy

-storytelling with still imagery

-leveraging your strengths towards carving your unique path

-how to capture and create more dynamic photos

-shallow dive into editing and color theory as it pertains to your body of work and goals

-stylistic choices and achieving consistency

-shooting for the look you want to achieve

-how to better tailor your work for your target audience

-platforms for hosting your portfolio (Squarespace, Wordpress, Pic-Time, etc)

-social media audits

*Please note that this is not a workshop on editing. While also very important, this session focuses more on the foundations of how you shoot and present your work, and improving the final product through that. Editing style is something we’ll touch on during the session and I am more than happy to give pointers that you can immediately implement into your work, but this will not be a deep-dive into editing— that will be reserved for a technical mentoring session that I will be offering later in the year.

Personalized Workshop: Technical Mentoring Session
$250.00

The most-requested offering is finally a go!

Technical mentoring is something that brings me joy like few other things do. Not sure what camera bodies make sense for you? How to pick the right lens for each scenario? What the rules for strong compositions are? When do I break those rules? What the hell is color theory anyway? How do I apply this to editing?

This mentorship offering is about executing and producing imagery at your best and leveling up in any concentration areas that you’d like help with. I’m always excited to work with eager artists that care to work on the quality of their craft, create with intention, and output work that they can be proud of. My goal is to help you bridge that gap between your vision/taste and your technical ability to execute that.

We will get into the nitty-gritty of ideation and planning, shooting, editing, pitch-decks- you name it. I aim to create a personalized workshop for you so that we can do a deep dive into the areas of photographic storytelling that you want to improve on.

This will be an hour and a half session, where we do a technical deep-dive into weak points, identify breaks in fundamentals, and ultimately get you on a path to putting together a body of work that you can confidently deliver to clients or to put out for your sake. Before our session begins, you have the option to submit RAW files for us to edit together during our session, pitch decks or pricing guides you’d like to work on together, or just bodies of work that you’d like a deep critique on (you may also request any focus area from the conceptual mentoring offering). Two-four weeks after our initial session, you have the option to schedule a follow-up 30 minute session where we do a progress check and polish up what you’re been working on since the deep-dive. This also helps me make sure that you’re getting the most out of our time together and that you’re on the right track to creating your best work! My resources are at your disposal through this and I will send and offer any guides, assets, or files that have helped me skyrocket my career forward. Where needed, I’ll also point you towards other educators that may specialize in areas where I may not be the strongest in.

We can skip a lot of foundational elements if you are already creating at an intermediate level and focus on the areas that you request through the intake form that you will receive upon signing up.

Examples of concentration areas that we can dive into include but aren’t limited to:

• gear choice & breakdowns

• shooting techniques

• composition (basic/intermediate/advanced)

• color theory & philosophy

• editing with live-practice (Lightroom & Photoshop)

• pitch decks for brand work

• pricing systems for couples & weddings

• artist case studies

• mobile content creation

• typography & design basics

Can’t wait to work with you soon!

Big love always,

Ammar
